What a regas consist of ?
first the a/c is checked on its current condition
The gas is recovered ( if any ) from the system
then the system is placed under a vacuum which removes moisture and contaminants and also leak tests the system .If all is well then oil is added to replenish any loss . |
 |
| |
This is then followed by regassing with the correct amount of gas, then a system pressure test is done by operating the a/c for correct operation & performance. IT IS ESSENTIAL that all this is done otherwise expensive damage could be caused by not following these procedures . |
 |
 |
Safety
Car a/c systems run at very high pressure and Refridgerants are dangerous and could be fatal if not handled properly, make sure it's done by a qualified person . The qualifications for car a/c are city & guilds 6048 a/c repair/service and C&G 2078 or CITB refrigerant handling |
